The German national team is iconic, and their shirts are just as memorable.

Here’s a list of some of the best they’ve ever had.

2018 Away

The pattern here is great, a call back to a few shirts of the past. Of course that Winners badge is nice to have too.

2014 Home
The ‘V’ of descending reds bordered by black and gold is obviously the centerpiece. I like how everything is framed, and the commemorative writing (for special matches) makes it onto the white.
8. 2020 Away
Blacked-out logos are always cool. Would it be a cooler jersey if the numbers were black? Maybe. But the sleeves add the accent that I think it needed.

2018 Home
Another callback to a classic pattern. I really like how it’s just white, black, and grey. Again, can’t go wrong with highlighting the gold statement piece.

2020 Home
Same accents on the sleeves as the all-black kit, but the collar and ‘skinny hoops’ do it for me. I love this shirt.
5. 2022 Home
Had to be in the top 5. Coulda been higher. The thick black stripe, gold center badge, and numbers. Just perfect.

2002 Away

This was a really cool jersey. It was good then, and it’s even better now. The different greys and black, yellow, and red stars above the badge is a great touch.

3. 2026 Home

Really, really nice. Having this year’s jersey make it into the top 3 means it’s probably pretty great. Callbacks to past kits again, but keeping it simple otherwise. It’s not distracting, it’s just Germany.

1994 Home
Cmon it’s so good. That spray-paint-like detail and pattern that encompass the shoulders. The block numbers are also awesome and are totally ‘90’s’.

1991 Away
Had to be done. Coulda gone with any of the white variants, but the green is special. Trefoil adidas always gets the shoutout, and the absence of a number on the front allows us to admire it for what it is. The greatest ever Germany kit.

Theres actually a lot that could be honorable mentions here. Maybe shoulda made this a top 15…Both the 2014 and 2016 Away shirts were different and super cool.
