TOP 10:
MEXICO
Mexico have a history of putting out some really eye-catching jerseys. In honor of them opening up the World Cup Today we’ll take a look.
Here they are.
1990 Home
I love the Trefoil Adidas logo, of course, and the interlocking triangle pattern is awesome. It’s no wonder some modern kits are coming back to this idea.
1993 Home
The full button-up collar with ‘Mexico’ running down the middle is a great touch, as well as ‘Mexico’ written in that pattern all over the shirt. It’s subtle but makes up for that recognizable aesthetic. I also really like the red piping that runs on the shoulders and under the arms. Longs sleeve is perfect. Not surprisingly, it’s Umbro.
1995 Home
Another good-looking white collar, but the main attraction here is the ‘M’ taking up the shirt. The numbers fit nicely in the dip of the letter, and the subtle ABA sponsor glistens under the lights. Nice jersey.
7. 2018 Away
White kits are always clean, and the two stripes in Mexico’s classic red and green draw your eye without distracting from the kit's overall look. Adidas had that number template for all their jerseys, and I just like it. Shoulders have the 3 lines, but they don’t continue down the sleeves. Good choice.
6. 2022 Away
Their heritage is on full display with this kit. Mexico has done an excellent job in showcasing this (as we’ll see later), but here it’s accompanied by the ‘new’ badge. This one took a bit to get used to, but I like it now. Really cool looking jersey.
2025 Home
Black and gold with that subtle pattern. Center deconstructed badge. That design on the cuffs. Cmon. So good.
4. 2026 Home
Here we have a callback to another classic Mexico shirt. These designs have tied in culture with their football, without it feeling gimmicky. Such a good kit. Excited to see them show it off at the World Cup.
2006 Home
I have this as a T-shirt, believe it or not. Márquez is a legend now serving as assistant coach to El Tri. The pattern inside the white’V’ is sweet and for our list, its a return to that classic badge.
1997 Third
These last 2 were interchangeable at number 1, but I decided to go classic. That’s not taking away from this spectacular shirt, though. It’s so dope.
1998 Home
Idk if I need to explain myself all that much here. It’s unreal.
Let me know what you think. What’d I miss? ↓ Are you excited to watch your nation on the biggest stage!?
