TOP 10:
EVERTON
This will probably be a bit more divisive than our last, but that’s the point, I guess.
Here we go.
2012 Away
It’s pretty good, you have to admit. Black football shirts always go hard, and the gold makes the whole thing pop. I don’t care what anyone says about recent lazy templates, I just like Nike kits.
2015 Away
This one stands out because of the sleeves. We had a few players that year who consistently rocked long-sleeve jerseys, and the silver-on-white was so fresh.
2011 Home
The yellow accents make it. Le Coq had some classic Everton shirts (a few on this list), and they always seemed to nail it. Simple, but it stands out especially when the game gets going, and the collars get unbuttoned.
7. 1995 Home

It’s so good. The ‘nil satis nisi optimum’ in that metallic blue and the black of the collar. Plenty of legends wore this shirt, and I loved that shielded badge (probably coulda been higher on the list).
2010 Home

Two years in a row, Le Coq crushed it. 2010 edged out 2011 for me, maybe just because of personal taste, but maybe also because of the subtle stitching that frames the logos above the sponsor. The rooster adds a lot to this kit, to be honest, and even though it’s just a plain blue shirt, it’s a plain blue shirt, done right. Also, Cahill and Arteta, cmon.
2014 Home

I debated having this higher, or at least swapped up to 4, but I feel like everything from here on out could make a case for itself being in the top 3. A European season, Seamus, Baines, Lukaku, and Barkley. I have such fond memories of this squad, and the kit matches all of it perfectly in my head. I love the offset blues on the mock collar and down the sides.
2013 Third

For me, it’s one of the better Nike kits we’ve ever had. The white crest contrasts nicely (I know it’s not traditional), and while some say that Everton badge wasn’t the greatest, it’s become a sneaky favorite of mine. I have some training gear from that year.
2009 Home

I really like the white ‘V’ down the upper chest. It guides your eye there and pulls it towards the Chang sponsor, which has become synonymous with Everton shirts over the years. The collar was subtly different, and the small detail on the inside of the sleeve of the same design is a great touch. Le Coq had this stitch thing I mentioned earlier that made the shirts almost futuristic but classic at the same time. Idk. Love it.
1992 Home
Umbro back at it again. The design is awesome, the way it shines in the sun with that metallic-like glow, and the NEC sponsor makes this an instant classic. Though I wasn’t alive for it, I sure wish I had been. The collar is perfect, and it ties together one of the cleanest-looking home shirts in the League that year.
1997 Home
It’s perfect. That color blue was a bit different, the Umbro lettering, One 2 One across the chest. This shirt makes me think of Big Dunc and his towering presence on the pitch. I loved that circle badge and the contrasting dark blue with the Umbro pattern again wrapping around the sleeves. Also, that collar was so sick with Everton written as the centerpiece. Even cooler when they pop it like Fergy. All around my favorite Everton kit, and I don’t think that’ll ever change.
Another list down.
Honorable mentions could have gone multiple directions, but I’m ‘honorably mentioning’ this year's home shirt and the 2023 home kit. (Disclaimer…Stake is awful) And I’m happy to see betting sponsors go, but overall, these are nice.
Let me know what you think. What’d I miss? ↓

The black and yellow kit is glorious, hope we have something similar soon
Loved this - some ones missed for me were:
92/93 away kit - pink (deffo not red) and black stripes
2012/13 home kit with the white sleeves
Kejian home kit - the Rooney debut
The Chang and NEC era’s are definitely the best. Top 1 for me is the NEC Home Kit 93/94.
